Soil Augers
Soil Sampling Augers
For over 80 years, our soil sampling augers have remained a preferred choice for manual borehole creation while supporting the collection of disturbed soil samples across agricultural, geotechnical, environmental, and groundwater applications. Our first bucket auger was built in 1942 for the United States Soil Conservation Service. Today, we manufacture a wide range of auger models designed to support varying soil conditions.
Soil sampling augers are commonly utilized for manual borehole creation and efficient advancement while facilitating disturbed soil sample collection during subsurface investigations. For investigations requiring discrete sampling, boreholes can be advanced to a target depth prior to utilizing core sampling tools to subsequently collect relatively undisturbed soil samples. You can use soil augers for soil sampling across loamy, cohesive, non-cohesive, heavily rooted, heterogeneous, stony, and compacted soil conditions, while planer augers support the removal of borehole slough from the bottom of already augered holes.
Different soil conditions require appropriate auger model selection to support efficient advancement, material retention, and material removal during subsurface investigations. Browse our extensive selection of soil augers for soil sampling today.
